Day 4

Previous StoryNext Story

Rock Pools & Rocking Out!

Year 4 started their last full day at Stubbington with yet another enormous breakfast before heading off to their first activity.  The children learned about different birds and impressed their teachers with their wildlife knowledge.  They then studied bird migration and how this affects other wildlife around us.

After a run-around and a well-earned lunch, the children headed off to the beach for more activities.

First, they made rock pools and hunted for sea creatures such as periwinkles and sea anemones.  Once the pools were made, the children looked for fossils and were fortunate to find shark teeth and eagle ray plates!

Next, the children created artwork using the natural materials around them and Mr. Massey made friends with a crab!

Finally, Year 4 participated in 'The 'S' Factor'.  All houses performed brilliantly and Mr. Barrand and Owl House were announced as the winners!!!
